A Strange Mix of Romance, Strategy, and Space Fantasy

After crossing paths with a mysterious Astral Princess, Sid gains the ability to use star power and sets out with a group of charming space heroines to reclaim the powerful Star Stone.

The gameplay of The Starborn Return is built around both combat and character relationships. Six main areas offer different environments, stages, enemies, and characters to discover. Creatures and female characters encountered along the journey can be recruited and assigned to help defend against incoming threats.

Building stronger bonds with the heroines also affects their abilities in battle. As those relationships grow, the story moves into more intimate adult scenes as well.

Story of Sid and the Astral Princess

Baldona started as a tiny country hidden far from the major powers of the continent. Everything changed when an enormous meteor shower struck the land. The people of Baldona gained mysterious abilities known as star power, giving the small nation an incredible advantage at The Starborn Return.

With its new strength, Baldona claimed the title of “Envoy of the Stars” and began invading neighboring countries. Before long, the once-minor nation had grown into the strongest empire on the continent.

Sid grew up on the opposite side of that conflict. His parents were killed during the war, leaving him with nothing and no real reason to keep going in The Starborn Return. He wandered the streets of Baldona, searching for somewhere to disappear.

Fate had other plans.

A noblewoman secretly took Sid in and raised him as her adopted son. His real identity had to remain hidden, and he eventually grew up under a completely different name and life. Once he reached adulthood, Sid joined the army while quietly waiting for an opportunity to settle the score.

That opportunity arrived on an unexpected night.

A brilliant light fell from the sky, and a strange bracelet emitting a soft blue glow suddenly appeared around Sid’s wrist. The Astral Princess had chosen him as her companion, hoping he could help reclaim the star power that had been stolen from her.

From there, Sid’s ordinary life turns into a much bigger adventure involving war, revenge, star power, romance, and a princess from beyond the heavens.

Characters You Meet Along the Way

The journey introduces six major female characters, each with her own personality and role in the story:

• Lophina (CV: Natsuki Kanna) — An older girl who secretly has strong feelings for Sid.
• Sekhmet (CV: Hikari Hazuki) — A playful and energetic beast girl with a wild side.
• Zero (CV: Gemiko Yamada) — An emotionless robotic girl whose personality stands out from the rest of the cast.
• Moophiis (CV: Chiyoko Suama) — An innocent and pure slime girl.
• Aurora (CV: Chiyoko Suama) — A caring adoptive mother who has accepted Sid as family.
• Elphy (CV: Shimashimahakase) — The mysterious princess who comes from the stars.

Gameplay and Main Features

Players take control of Sid in a story-driven, side-scrolling tower defense adventure. Combat is only one part of the experience, since recruiting characters and improving relationships are just as important to progressing through The Starborn Return.

A fallen soldier who has lost almost everything. A princess awakened among the stars. And a stolen source of power waiting to be reclaimed.

With revenge driving Sid forward and the Astral Princess at his side in The Starborn Return, the wheels of fate are already turning toward a conflict that could reach far beyond the battlefield.
