In Falsus blends rhythm-based gameplay, a detailed card system, and a layered story into one atmospheric experience.

A Rhythm Game Built Around Truth and Lies
In a world where truth is everything, connection comes at a price. Set in a near-future society, In Falsus takes players through a rich musical world seen from the perspectives of five connected protagonists.
The story follows five girls as they go about their high school lives. Things take an unexpected turn when they are invited to take part in a mysterious government program. What starts as an unusual opportunity quickly exposes a hidden side of the world they thought they understood.
Music and storytelling work closely together throughout In Falsus. Each major encounter is tied to its own song, while the events and themes of the narrative are reflected through the music, sound design, and gameplay.
Rhythm Gameplay and Encounters
In Falsus uses a mouse-and-keyboard control setup and offers four difficulty levels. As the difficulty increases, more notes arrive and the aerial Field becomes increasingly demanding, giving experienced rhythm-game players plenty to work toward while remaining approachable for newcomers.
Progress comes through a series of encounters. Along the way, the five protagonists meet different characters, some of whom need to be challenged while others may need help. These moments are more than simple story beats, as each one connects directly to a unique musical track.
The soundtrack is another strong part of the experience. More than 70 songs are included, with over 40 being original tracks. The music comes from composers at the forefront of Japan’s independent scene alongside artists from around the world, covering a broad mix of genres and styles.
Cards, Crafting, and Blueprints
Completing challenges rewards materials that can be used to create unique Cards. These Cards add new options during song gameplay of In Falsus, giving players different ways to approach difficult tracks and encounters.
Blueprints add another layer to the system. Materials are placed into grid-based Blueprints that offer various stat increases and bonuses. Every crafted Card can turn out differently, while each Blueprint works like a small puzzle. The way materials are positioned can change the resulting effects and open up different solutions.
Up to five Cards can be equipped at once. Each features artwork inspired by characters encountered throughout the story and important moments from the narrative, with illustrations contributed by a range of skilled and well-known artists.
