TACOS: The Adventurous Couple’s Original Story

The story follows a couple whose curiosity gradually opens the door to temptation, experimentation, and increasingly adventurous situations.

Tony is an open-minded partner who wants to bring something new into the relationship. From there, the choices made along the way can lead the couple in very different directions.

Choices, Temptation, and Different Paths

The relationship does not follow a single route. Players can decide how things develop by exploring NTR, NTS, or open relationship storylines, with each path offering its own take on the couple’s experiences.

The game also leans into a range of kinky themes and adult scenarios, making the story a good fit for players who enjoy relationship-focused content with a more provocative edge.

Plenty of Content to Explore

There is quite a lot packed into TACOS. The game offers more than 10 hours of gameplay, supported by over 9,500 handcrafted renders and more than 400 animations.

That amount of visual content gives the story plenty of room to develop, while the different relationship choices add replay value for those who want to see how other decisions play out.

A Fresh Start for the Series

TACOS actually came about after the developer abandoned the original version of The Adventurous Couple. That game had multiple seasons, but the developer eventually stopped working on it after feeling that player feedback had pushed the project in directions that no longer matched the original vision.

Instead of continuing with something that no longer felt right, the entire project was restarted from scratch. That is also where the “Original Story” part of TACOS comes from. It is meant to represent the version of the story the developer originally wanted to create.

Some Odd Visual Choices

There are a few strange things about the presentation that stand out while playing. Early on, the background characters are basically blank models, which makes some scenes feel like a game of “spot the main characters.” Interestingly, this changes around the halfway point, when the background characters suddenly start appearing with fully developed models.

The day counters also get a little bizarre after Day 20. Instead of keeping the same format, they begin showing entries such as “Day Forty 9.” Having one part written out and the other displayed as a numeral looks pretty odd and feels like an easy detail that could have been cleaned up.

Characters and Overall Experience

Despite those quirks, TACOS is still a good game with some enjoyable scenes. The characters are easy enough to get invested in, with Anne standing out in particular. There is enough going on to make the experience enjoyable, especially considering the game’s price.

Replay value is where things feel more limited. There is basically just one main route at the moment, so there isn’t a huge reason to replay the game once the story has been completed.

One of the bigger surprises is that Seasons 2 and 3 are not included yet. Based on the developer’s Patreon, Season 2 appears to already be finished, while work is currently underway on Season 3. That makes it a little confusing why Season 2 hasn’t been added to the game already.
