Chaos Front is a turn-based space mecha strategy game centered on mercenary warfare. Players can recruit pilots and captains.

Build a Mercenary Force
Each brings different backgrounds, abilities, and personal stories to the group. Ships, mecha, artillery, and fighters can be purchased and customized before heading out on missions or entering conflicts between the major Galactic Powers.
Chaos Front lets decisions shape events across the Centersea Sector. Missions can be selected from different locations, alliances can be formed, and participation in the ongoing war can lead to different outcomes for both the people involved and the final story.
More than 100 major characters appear throughout Chaos Front. They can become allies, rivals, friends, or something in between. Their roles cover a wide range, including commanders, staff officers, merchants, pirates, scientists, psychics, robots, and aliens. Each important character has a distinct identity, background, talents, and combat abilities.
Battles, Units, and Strategy
Chaos Front features 70 different units, including battleships, submarines, mecha, artillery, fighters, and titans. Each unit comes with its own weapons, strengths, and special capabilities, giving battles plenty of room for different tactical approaches.
Combat also goes beyond straightforward attacks. Units can make use of stealth, space mines, fog, boarding and seizure tactics, theft, ramming, shelling, shields, defensive force fields, and other actions. Learning how these systems work makes it possible to build an army around different strategies and play styles.
Mission Centers offer a large selection of assignments, with many of them tied to their own storylines. Large factions can also launch battles that mercenary groups may join. Once allied with a faction, strategic proposals can be made to influence how that faction approaches the wider war.
The Story Behind the Centersea War
The story begins with the Solaris Union, the first galaxy-wide human regime. Its rule came to an end during the Great Rebellion, when corruption and tyranny eventually led to its destruction. Afterward, three major powers divided control of the galaxy. None could overcome the others, so a ceasefire was reached and the Interstellar Consortium was created to oversee thousands of independent planets.
That arrangement did not bring lasting freedom. The Interstellar Consortium gradually became a means for the three powers to control and exploit the galaxy. Interstellar travel was restricted, while planets faced increasing economic pressure.
Then, in the 26th year of the Consortium Calendar, a revolution erupted on Massilia, a planet in the Centersea Sector. The Consortium responded by ordering fleets from all three powers to suppress the rebellious worlds. But after the Black Flag defected, the Consortium Army was left weakened, turning the conflict into a prolonged stalemate.
With the front lines unable to move, the major powers permitted the Consortium Army to bring mercenaries into the war zone. The Revolutionary Army and Black Flag followed the same path, opening their ranks to hired fighters as well.
Mercenaries soon arrived from across the galaxy. Militias, pirates, nobles, technicians, and countless others traveled to Centersea in search of opportunity. Before long, mercenary groups had become one of the major forces shaping the conflict.
