Build a Racing Empire From Scratch

Instead of simply managing what happens on the track, the focus is on everything that goes into getting a racing team ready for competition in WORKS: Motorsport Factory.

Start small, collect or purchase components, repair damaged vehicles and eventually design custom parts from scratch. As the team grows, so do the responsibilities. Staff, facilities, car development and finances all need attention. Sponsors must be secured, mechanics hired and supplies ordered, all while keeping expenses under control.

There are five levels of motorsport to work through, with different series and career routes available. Moving up the ranks takes more than a few race victories. Financial setbacks, technical problems and stronger competitors can make progress surprisingly difficult. A successful season doesn’t always guarantee a comfortable future, either.

The Factory Is Where Everything Happens

The workshop is much more than a management screen at WORKS: Motorsport Factory. It’s a living operation where every employee, building and piece of equipment has a purpose.

Mechanics handle repairs, deliveries bring in new components and construction teams expand the garage. Every task takes time and requires the right person to complete it. Factory layout also plays a part, so placing rooms, workshops and equipment in sensible locations can make daily operations more efficient.

Preparing for a race involves plenty of moving parts. Cars need to be built and checked, spare components must be ready, the crew needs to be organised and the right driver has to be behind the wheel. Once everything is packed and loaded, the team must reach the circuit before the departure deadline.

Parts, Research and Car Development

One of the more interesting aspects of WORKS: Motorsport Factory is its approach to component wear and development. Every part has a limited lifespan, and its condition changes with use at WORKS: Motorsport Factory. A fresh component at the beginning of the season won’t deliver the same performance after months of racing.

Wear gradually reduces efficiency, while excessive use and repeated repairs can shorten a part’s useful life. Push components beyond their limits and failures become a real possibility in WORKS: Motorsport Factory. Choosing between performance, durability and reliability is therefore a constant challenge. Improving one area can mean making compromises elsewhere.

Parts can be scavenged, purchased, tested, repaired or developed in-house. As the operation expands, the team gains access to more advanced engineering options, including custom suspension, roll cages, chassis, gearboxes and engines.

The factory is the real game. The race is where all that hard work gets tested.
