Create Your Own World and Play Your Own Way

Instead of choosing actions from a fixed list, you simply type what you want your character to do. Want to steal from a merchant, talk your way past a guard by claiming to be the king’s cousin, or take on a group of bandits? Just describe your move and let the AI handle the rest.

The AI checks whether your action makes sense, rolls the dice, describes the outcome, and adjusts the game world accordingly. There are no fixed storylines or scripted encounters holding things back. Events unfold as you play, making each session feel a little different.

The world itself is also yours to decide. Set your adventure in a medieval village, an abandoned space station, a dark detective city, or pretty much anywhere else you can imagine. Anywhere RPG then creates an explorable environment filled with locations, buildings, quests, objects, and NPCs. Characters even have their own personalities and daily routines, which makes the world feel more alive.

Gameplay, Character Progression, and Freedom

One of the more interesting parts of Anywhere RPG is how much it reacts to player decisions. Quests can change depending on your actions, AI-controlled events can happen along the way, and survival stats are adjusted to suit the type of world you’ve created.

Character development follows the same idea. Skills are generated to match your setting, while perk trees, active abilities, and customizable hotkey macros give you different ways to shape your character.

There’s plenty of freedom outside regular gameplay.

Another handy feature is the ability to communicate directly with the Game Master. If something feels unclear or you aren’t sure what to do next, simply ask. It works as an in-game assistant and can be genuinely helpful during a session.

Free AI Service and Optional Subscription

Anywhere RPG is ready to play using its built-in free AI service. There’s no complicated setup, and getting started doesn’t require an additional payment. The free service will remain available, and the optional subscription won’t interfere with it.

For players who want extra features, a monthly subscription is available. It provides expanded AI memory, access to higher-quality text and image models, and a greater daily allowance for map generation.

Content Restrictions and AI Customization

Due to Steam’s current policies, certain types of content are restricted by the game’s moderation system and cannot be generated. These limitations may change if Steam updates its AI-related rules in the future.

Outside these restrictions, the creative possibilities are fairly broad. You can design your own settings, establish rules, create perks and skills, and introduce custom mechanics. Rather than forcing your ideas into a fixed game structure, Anywhere RPG adjusts its systems to fit the world you’ve designed.

There’s also some flexibility when it comes to the AI itself. The included models provide a playable experience right away, but you’re not limited to using them. Paid online models and your own AI models, whether hosted online or running locally, can also be connected.

Custom model support hasn’t been tested here yet, so the results may vary, but having the option is certainly a nice addition. Overall, Anywhere RPG offers an enjoyable approach to sandbox RPGs, especially if the idea of creating a world and watching it develop through your own decisions sounds appealing.
