Tensei Brave is an adult-oriented fantasy RPG that puts a rather unusual spin on the classic reincarnated hero story.

Story and Setting
The Demon Lord has brought destruction to kingdoms across the world, leaving only one country standing. With humanity on the brink of extinction, a hero is summoned to take on the powerful enemy. Players step into the hero’s shoes, recruit companions, explore different locations, and work toward defeating the Demon Lord once and for all.
But there’s a catch: The summoned hero doesn’t exactly fit the usual image of a brave warrior. Despite his seemingly weak appearance, he must find a way to overcome the Demon Lord and save what’s left of the world.

The protagonist has a strong masochistic side and enjoys being mistreated by women. This unusual personality shapes his interactions with the ten female companions he encounters throughout the adventure, each bringing her own style of teasing and humiliation.
Story and Characters
The overall plot follows a familiar fantasy RPG formula. Along the way, players complete quests, recruit new heroines, help fulfill the princess’s requests, and take down the Demon Lord’s generals before reaching the final confrontation.
The story itself isn’t particularly surprising, but the character interactions give it a different personality. Each heroine has her own approach to teasing and humiliating the protagonist, making their conversations one of the more distinctive aspects of the experience. Outside these interactions, the narrative remains fairly straightforward, so there’s no need to follow every dialogue exchange closely to understand what’s happening.
Gameplay and Combat
At its core, Tensei Brave plays much like a traditional fantasy JRPG. Towns provide places to purchase supplies, recover health, and revive fallen companions. Tensei Brave also features a world map, although movement isn’t completely free. Instead, players choose destinations from a list and travel directly to them. These locations function as Tensei Brave’s dungeons and exploration areas.
Combat uses a turn-based system with familiar commands, including regular attacks, special skills, defensive actions, and item usage. Enemies appear directly on the map rather than triggering random encounters. Simply making contact with one starts a battle. Winning fights rewards experience points, allowing characters to level up and become stronger.
One of the more unusual mechanics involves recruiting female companions in Tensei Brave. Each potential ally must first be defeated in a turn-based encounter. These fights work much like regular enemy battles, although they’re generally a little tougher. The outcome also affects the accompanying adult scene: losing triggers a version involving sexual humiliation, while winning still unlocks the scene without the humiliation element.
Recruiting heroines also plays an important role in exploration. Every companion brings unique abilities that help overcome obstacles and access previously unreachable areas. Some can illuminate dark rooms, while others can break rocks or move objects blocking the way.
This ability-based progression adds a noticeable Metroidvania touch to the adventure. Certain locations need to be visited more than once, as new paths become accessible only after recruiting a character with the right skill.
Overall, the gameplay of Tensei Brave sticks to familiar JRPG foundations, but the companion recruitment system and character-specific abilities give the adventure a little extra variety.
