Survive on a Hostile Alien World

Experiment with their talent trees, pair abilities with the right equipment, and take on 17 terrifying bosses while uncovering the mysteries hidden across the planet Tenebris.

It takes place in a dark science-fiction world filled with dangerous creatures. The Solaris starship has crashed on an unexplored planet, leaving humanity’s finest fighters stranded in hostile territory. Their mission is simple to understand but far harder to accomplish: survive the planet, uncover its secrets, and find a way to save the expedition.

Build Heroes Your Way

Character development plays a major role throughout Tenebris: Terra Incognita. With five basic classes providing clear roles at the start, heroes can later branch into 17 advanced classes as they gain experience. Every specialization comes with its own talent trees, giving plenty of room to shape characters differently even when they begin in the same class.

The inventory system adds another layer to that customization. Weapons, armor, and special equipment found during missions or purchased from the ship can improve a hero’s basic stats in Tenebris: Terra Incognita, but their effects go further than that. Certain items can interact with talents or provide entirely new abilities.

That makes experimenting worthwhile. Try different talent paths, match equipment to each hero’s strengths, and put together builds that suit the way the squad is meant to fight.

Tenebris: Terra Incognita draws inspiration from tactical RPGs such as Darkest Dungeon, X-COM, and Disciples, with an emphasis on character progression, customization, and tactical choices.

The Swarm Gets Deadlier

The expedition’s damaged ship is only the beginning of the trouble. Soon after the crash, enormous insects attack the survivors before they have even had time to recover.

Their size, speed, and aggression are dangerous enough, but the real threat comes from the way the swarm works together. The creatures communicate through chemical signals, allowing them to coordinate their movements while also making one another faster and stronger. A single bug may be manageable, but a large group can quickly turn into a serious threat.

The first major goal is to protect the Solaris and establish a foothold in the Misty Wasteland. Once that area is secured, the expedition can reach other parts of Tenebris that even the insect scouts avoid.

Solaris Is More Than a Base

The Solaris serves as the expedition’s headquarters and one of the few places on the planet where the crew can feel relatively safe. Weapons and armor can be purchased here, new recruits can be awakened from cryo-sleep, and injured heroes can receive treatment.

Features of Tenebris: Terra Incognita:

  • The commander and head of security will help handle the main objective of escaping the planet, while the chief doctor, lead engineer, and warehouse manager each bring their own tasks and requests. Completing their assignments can provide extra resources and technologies, giving the expedition a better chance of making it through in Tenebris: Terra Incognita.
  • Resources collected during missions can also be invested in improving the ship’s different bays. Upgrading these areas expands what the expedition can do and gives the squad better tools for surviving on Tenebris.
  • Resources, however, are limited. Every mission forces careful choices about what to collect and where to spend it. With supplies running low and the planet offering little safety at Tenebris: Terra Incognita, wasting what is available can make future battles much harder.
  • Tenebris is waiting, and the expedition has nowhere else to go.
  • The crew has handed over the decisions. The rest is up to the commander.
