Category 6 PC (Final version)

Survive the Aftermath

What remains is a dangerous open-world environment where food, clean water, shelter, and useful supplies can mean the difference between making it through another day or not.

The adventure begins in the middle of the hurricane’s devastation, but surviving the storm is only the beginning. Once the winds die down, the real struggle starts in Category 6. Aggressive wildlife, desperate scavengers, and harsh conditions make every journey outside a serious risk. Inspired by survival experiences such as The Long Dark and Firewatch, Category 6 combines exploration, survival, crafting, and storytelling in a world shaped by disaster.

The storm has also torn families apart. More than 100 miles separate the character from loved ones, turning the journey home into a dangerous trek through an unfamiliar landscape. In Story Mode, survival becomes about more than staying alive. Every discovery, setback, and hard-earned victory moves the story forward while the search for family continues.

Explore a World Left Behind

A once-thriving civilization now lies scattered across a vast and changing open world. Hidden locations, abandoned areas, different biomes, and the remains of everyday life provide plenty to discover, while each region brings its own dangers and opportunities.

Other survivors have their own experiences and stories, adding another layer to the ruined world. Resources are limited, and everyone is looking for the same things. Encounters with survivors and scavengers can become just as unpredictable as encounters with wildlife.

Survival depends on making the most of whatever can be found. Scavenge abandoned locations, collect useful materials, craft equipment, and trade valuable items when supplies run low. Even ordinary objects can become useful after the disaster. Jewelry, cigarettes, toilet paper, and other overlooked goods can all have value when the old world is gone.

Two Ways to Play

Story Mode and Survival Mode offer two distinct ways to experience the aftermath.

Story Mode focuses on a deeper narrative built around the journey through the devastated world and the search for family at Category 6. The choices made along the way can affect more than physical survival, including the character’s mental state.

Survival Mode strips things back to the basic question: how long can the character stay alive? Food, water, shelter, health, and available resources all have to be managed carefully. Every extra day is another achievement.

Features of Category 6 :

  • Craft, Trade, and Stay Alive
  • There is no chopping down entire trees, either. Fallen logs can be chopped for resources, while standing trees remain part of the environment. It keeps the world feeling more believable instead of turning every forest into a pile of conveniently harvested trees in Category 6.
  • Life after the hurricane comes with more than hunger and thirst. Physical problems such as broken bones and the flu can make survival harder.
  • Crafting plays a major role in staying alive, from putting together improvised shelters to creating useful tools and weapons. Inventory management has also been kept simple. Items are automatically sorted, so there is no need to spend time digging through endless inventory screens.
