Wabisabi SushiDerby is an adorable sushi race at full speed in a training × racing game! Become a sushi chef and craft unique toppings.

Enter your trained sushi into races. Don’t forget to cheer on your sushi during the race. Win the prestigious S1 Cup championship, and become a top-tier sushi chef! As a sushi chef apprentice, you’ll make sushi, train it , and compete in races. Win races, use the prize money to make even faster sushi and train harder in Wabisabi SushiDerby, aiming for victory in the ultimate “S1” Cup! No matter how painstakingly crafted the sushi may be, once eaten, it’s an instant defeat. It heads straight for the customer’s stomach and never comes back. Source high-quality sushi toppings, prepare the better sushi, and send it out to the race. Each sushi topping has different performance characteristics.
How well you’ve mastered making that particular topping also affects its performance. Use training to perfect your ideal sushi. However, since sushi is a perishable item, its performance degrades after each race. Some sushi toppings possess unique skills in Wabisabi SushiDerby. For example, Flounder can dive to dodge chopsticks in an emergency without using boost, while Sea Urchin can use its spines to knock rivals away. There are over 40 different skills, some of which can be learned through training. It’s literally just luck. The race has to be played over and over for hours, and most of that time ends up being spent on the salmon race.
Since all the racers are salmon, the order is always going to be salmon, and there are so many things to bump into on the track that accelerating to dodge obstacles isn’t even an option. Stats don’t matter either—going faster actually makes it more likely to be the first one sniped at Wabisabi SushiDerby.
God forbid anything gets stuck behind an obstacle when the chopsticks are nearby. It’s very frustrating and badly designed. There’s no skill involved, just luck. Only twice was the finish line even reached, and neither time resulted in first place because going so slowly was the only way to survive. Even with a level 5 salmon sushi—which shows just how much grinding it took to reach level 5—and a very good race rating, winning still felt out of reach.

Features of Wabisabi SushiDerby:
- During the race, all you can do is “cheer on” the sushi to boost it. You can escape chopsticks by using boost, but the sushi race isn’t that easy—you won’t win just by doing that. Sometimes you’ll need to take risks and use boost to overtake rivals.
- If eaten, it’s lost immediately.
- Timing is crucial for boosting.
- Variety-rich sushi toppings!
