A goblin as a sushi chef? Why not! But hurry up, rent is due in minutes! Upgrade the restaurant, the menu and your ingredients. Feed your fellow goblins the best and most expensive sushi any goblin can find in the cave! Goblin Sushi is a casual cooking job simulator with roguelike and deck-building elements, developed by Old Cake Factory and published by Metaroot on the 10th of February 2026 on the Steam platform. At the time of this review, the game is in early access, and the gameplay and content might change when it reaches version 1.0.

So what do you have to do? In a nutshell, you must manage to pay your greedy landlord rent eleven times in a row, to the point of making him explode with his cash. But achieving this will be quite a task. After all, you’ll be preparing the food, serving it, cleaning the plates when your patrons finish their meals, and making sure you have enough ingredients for the entire run. The second level hasn’t been unlocked yet.

Progress is about 40% of the way there after 10 hours of gameplay, which is pretty good. Essentially, you have the workstation in front of you, with a mixer on the left to make the juices. Next to it are the ingredient containers, which need to be kept as full as possible. The sushi mat is next to the containers, and on the right-hand side is the grill, which also has three ingredient containers next to it. On the far right is the recipe book, in case the recipes for the dishes being served need to be checked. The second level appears to differ in terms of the workstation, ingredients, and recipes.
