A dark force is spreading across the Forgotten Realms, and its source lies beneath the city of New Phlan. The recently discovered Pool of Radiance releases a wave of evil energy that curses everything in its path. Following Elminster’s call, a group of adventurers must venture into the abandoned elven city of Myth Drannor and put an end to the threat. A dangerous sorceress and a powerful dracolich stand in the way, both determined to use the Pool’s magic to bring darkness to the realm.

Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor includes party management, dungeon exploration and tactical battles. Every encounter calls for smart positioning, effective spell use and well-planned attacks. The combat has that old-school RPG feel, making it a good fit for anyone who enjoys taking their time and thinking through each move.

Build a Party and Master Classic D&D Combat

A party can consist of six characters, with the option to create four heroes from scratch and recruit two additional companions during the adventure. Different races, character classes and spells offer plenty of room to shape a group around a preferred playstyle.

Character development goes up to level 16, with access to powerful 8th-level magic. More than 90 spells are available, giving the party plenty of options when dealing with dangerous enemies and challenging encounters in Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor.

Combat offers two different approaches. The traditional turn-based system lets players carefully plan every action, while an optional timed-turn mode adds extra pressure by limiting the time available for decisions. This alternative makes battles feel faster and more intense without taking away the tactical side of the experience.
