Explore the Fog-Shrouded St. Amelia
Set in Scotland in 1996, Simon Ordell returns to the strange location with a simple goal: put things right. Instead, he finds a place buried beneath thick fog, eerily quiet streets, and an unsettling sense that the town has been abandoned without ever truly becoming empty.
As Simon pushes farther into St. Amelia, pieces of its forgotten history begin to emerge. The more he learns about the town and its residents, the harder it becomes to separate what is real from what may only exist in his mind. Small details, deserted locations, and traces of everyday life slowly reveal what happened beneath the surface.
The story is experienced entirely from Simon’s perspective. Limited visibility keeps danger close, while exploration, stealth, combat, and puzzle-solving all play a part in uncovering the truth.
A Different Kind of SILENT HILL Story
The fog-covered streets of Scotland give SILENT HILL: Townfall a setting unlike previous entries in the series. St. Amelia feels grounded and tangible, yet reality can shift in subtle and disturbing ways as Simon’s journey continues.
This is a story shaped by loss, consequences, and personal reflection. Fear does not always arrive with a sudden attack. Sometimes it comes from an empty street, an unusual sound, or a quiet moment that feels slightly wrong.
SILENT HILL: Townfall also introduces a first-person perspective to the full-length SILENT HILL experience. Seeing the town directly through Simon’s eyes makes exploration feel more personal and puts every nearby threat at a much closer range.
Stealth, Combat, and the CRTV
Survival is not limited to fighting. Simon can use melee weapons for frantic close-range encounters or rely on firearms when keeping an enemy at a distance makes more sense. The surrounding environment and available tools can also influence how each situation is handled in SILENT HILL: Townfall.
Stealth offers another way forward. Enemies can be tracked from cover, avoided entirely, or pulled away with distractions. Choosing when to fight and when to stay hidden becomes part of surviving the town.
A particularly unusual tool is the CRTV, a portable television that takes the place of the familiar SILENT HILL radio. By tuning into unstable analog signals at SILENT HILL: Townfall, Simon can pick up strange clues, fragments of conversations, signs of nearby threats, and pieces of the town’s story.
These signals are tied directly to narrative puzzles. Solving them can reveal events from the past and offer glimpses into ordinary life in St. Amelia, gradually filling in the gaps surrounding what happened there.

Features of SILENT HILL: Townfall:
- Multiple Endings and an Unsettling Soundscape
- Player actions can shape how the story ends, with multiple possible conclusions that leave their own emotional impact after the final moments in SILENT HILL: Townfall.
- Sound plays a major role in maintaining that tension. Creaking structures, distorted signals, distant cries, and other subtle noises create an atmosphere where danger can feel close even when nothing is visible.
- The music is fully dynamic as well. Pilotpriest provides the soundtrack, which changes alongside player and enemy actions. Quiet exploration, stealth, and intense encounters can each shift the music, allowing the tension to rise and fall with the action.
- Together, the first-person viewpoint, unstable CRTV signals, strategic survival mechanics, environmental storytelling, and shifting audio create a tense journey through St. Amelia, where uncovering the past may be just as dangerous as surviving the present.
