Rivage is a sci-fi puzzle adventure where something has gone seriously wrong and it is set aboard the A.R.E.S. space station.
A Mysterious Station in Deep Space
The station has been caught inside a strange space phenomenon, and Miranda wakes up alone with no clear idea of what happened to the rest of the crew.
The story takes place in the 25th century, when humanity has pushed beyond its own solar system in search of somewhere new to live. That search leads to VESTA, a distant planet that could potentially become a new home. The A.R.E.S. station is sent into orbit to study the planet and determine whether it can support human life.
Then everything falls apart.
A mysterious phenomenon traps the station and its crew, turning what was meant to be a scientific mission into a fight for survival. As Miranda moves through the abandoned station, small details begin to raise questions. A misplaced object, a door that has suddenly opened, or a message left behind can all point toward something bigger.
Explore, Experiment, and Solve
The A.R.E.S. station is fully interactive, giving plenty to investigate along the way. Old workstations hide research data, forgotten notes, and personal belongings, while scattered artifacts offer clues about the people who once lived and worked there.
The crew’s story is just as important as the mystery surrounding the station. Their journals, private logs, and encrypted messages reveal different personalities, ambitions, fears, and beliefs. Putting these pieces together gradually shows how isolation affected the crew and adds a more personal side to the scientific mystery.
Puzzle solving sits at the heart of the experience. Broken systems need to be repaired, strange mechanisms have to be adjusted, and environmental challenges require some experimentation. Gravity, magnetism, and even the flow of time can become part of the solution, so simply looking for obvious switches or keys won’t always work.
A Story Hidden in the Details
Rivage does a nice job of tying its puzzles to the story rather than making them feel like separate challenges. Each solution can reveal another piece of information, open a new part of the station, or provide a better idea of what happened to Miranda’s crew.

- The K9 System also helps keep things moving. Miranda can record discoveries and retain certain puzzle solutions, which means previously solved challenges don’t have to become repetitive busywork.
- That leaves more room to focus on the strange distortions affecting the station and the mystery behind them.
- As more clues come together, the situation starts to make more sense, although not always in comfortable ways. Rivage gradually builds toward one central idea: progress can come with a price.
- With its abandoned space station, environmental puzzles, scattered crew stories, and atmospheric sci-fi setting, Rivage combines exploration, logic, and story discovery into an experience built around curiosity.
- Every new room and solved puzzle brings Miranda a little closer to finding out what happened — and figuring out how to get out.
