When Ariette’s uncle offers her the role of royal magistrate in Havenport, the position looks like a perfect opportunity. It could raise her standing, strengthen her claim through her family name, and bring her one step closer to the crown. Things quickly become less straightforward, though. The Inquisition starts watching her, her money runs out, and the truth about her bloodline turns out to be more dangerous than the political games surrounding her.

Rewinding Time Comes at a Price

Ariette eventually gains possession of a forbidden ring capable of turning back time. It sounds like an ideal solution when things go wrong, but there is a catch: the ring consumes sexual energy every time it is used. Rewinding events may solve one problem, only to make the next attempt more expensive.

That mechanic plays directly into the game’s choices. Decisions can lead to fights, temptation, corruption, or entirely different outcomes. Ariette is stubborn and does not always follow directions, so keeping her on the path of pride and ambition is not always easy.

The succubus also discovers that ordinary seduction is ineffective against Ariette. Instead of trying to overpower her through sex, the demon turns to something much more personal: Ariette’s ambition and pride. Little by little, forbidden demonic magic becomes increasingly difficult for her to resist.
