Heart Abyss is a fierce action-platformer packed with brutal fights, mythical creatures, and a story driven by revenge.

A Dark Journey Through a Japanese-Inspired World
It’s set in a world inspired by 17th- and 18th-century Japan. Step into the role of a legendary being who has finally broken free from captivity. Now, the time has come to hunt down those responsible, find a missing sister, and discover what happened to the Jinko.
A Sister's Journey PC (Final)
Leon is no ordinary human. He belongs to the Jinko, a rare half-human, half-fox race whose ancestors once protected the Human Empire from an invasion by the terrifying Yokai demons in HEART ABYSS. Unfortunately, the present looks very different from those glorious days. After spending years locked inside a human cage, Leon remembers little beyond his imprisonment. But one thing has changed: the collar that kept him restrained is now gone.
Fast-Paced Combat and Powerful Qi Abilities
Fighting in Heart Abyss feels just as savage as its world. Leon relies on aggressive combat, and playing defensively for too long is hardly an option at HEART ABYSS. Staying close to enemies allows him to drain their health and restore the energy needed to unleash magical attacks. Keeping up the pressure is the best way to survive, so standing still is rarely a good idea.
His Jinko bloodline also gives him access to an impressive amount of Qi energy. This opens the door to some pretty destructive abilities. Strike enemies with lightning from above, fire concentrated blasts of energy, or create a miniature singularity to pull them into trouble. There is plenty of room to mix these powers into the action and make every encounter more entertaining.
Explore the Empire and Its Folklore
The adventure takes Leon across different parts of the Human Empire, each with its own atmosphere and dangers. From the grand Capital to the remote Temple of Death hidden among snow-covered mountains in HEART ABYSS, the world offers plenty of interesting places to discover. Along the way, expect encounters with familiar faces, unusual characters, and creatures drawn from Japanese mythology. Not everyone needs to become an enemy, but Imperial warriors should probably watch their backs.
The visual style is another enjoyable part of the experience. Ancient temples, traditional torii gates, cherry blossoms, and elements of Japanese folklore give the world a distinct identity. The contrast is particularly striking: peaceful scenery and steaming bowls of ramen sit alongside blood-soaked katana fights and terrifying Yokai creatures.

Features of HEART ABYSS:
- A Mystery Behind the Disappearance of the Jinko
- The story takes place a century after the Yokai invasion. Since that conflict, the Human Empire has grown increasingly oppressive toward magical beings, while the once-famous Jinko have seemingly vanished from the world.
- Leon sets out to uncover the truth behind his people’s disappearance and find out what happened to his sister. His journey could also determine the Empire’s future.
- Perhaps he will become the one who saves it once more, or maybe his actions will bring the entire realm crashing into chaos. Either way, the fate of the Empire rests on the choices and actions of a fox who has finally broken free.
