The world is procedurally generated, so every run can offer different places to discover, enemies to face, and resources to collect.

Staying alive means more than just fighting. Different factions can be helped, traded with, or fought against depending on the situation. Warlords stand in the way too, and taking them down lets their trophies become decorations for your car.

Cars are a major part of survival. Find different vehicles, strip them down, improve their parts, and turn them into something that fits the way Apocalypter is being played. With Apocalypter’s customization system, building a personal survival vehicle is a big part of the experience.

Build and Customize Your Car

There are no fixed limits on which car parts can be used with which vehicle. Better engines, suspension systems, and radiators can be installed, while cosmetic parts such as seats, steering wheels, and gear levers can also be changed.

The part adjuster gives even more control. Engine components, exhausts, and radiators can be moved and rotated to find the setup that works best. Roof racks, crates, and boxes can also be added when extra storage space is needed.

Fight, Scavenge, and Stay Alive

Combat includes a range of melee weapons and firearms, with different weapons using different stats and calibers. Enemies can use the same types of equipment and may drop ammunition, weapons, or healing supplies when defeated at Apocalypter.

Survival also means making use of whatever can be found. Bugs, dog food, and mysterious cuts of meat can all become food when options are limited. Animals and mutants can be butchered for meat, which can then be cooked.

The car can even become a mobile base. Portable maggot farms, dew collectors, and plants such as weed and tobacco can be used to make life on the road a little more manageable.

Character upgrades add another layer of preparation. Body armor, a backpack, flashlight, and binoculars can improve survivability and make exploration easier.

Explore, Trade, and Discover the World

The procedurally generated world is designed for exploration. Roads can make traveling easier, but they are not always reliable and may eventually lead nowhere. A compass and landmarks help with finding the way when the road disappears.

Abandoned buildings, wrecked vehicles, caves, faction camps, and bases are scattered across the world. Some locations may offer useful supplies, while others can lead to fights or opportunities to trade in Apocalypter.

Trading provides another way to get the items needed for survival. Unwanted loot can be sold to merchants, while useful supplies can be purchased in return at Apocalypter. Traders have randomized inventories, so what is available can change from one encounter to another.

The main currency is rusted nuts. Collect them while scavenging and spend them on equipment and other supplies from traders.
