Grab a cocktail, settle in, and prepare for a very different kind of pool match. Build your triangle from balls with unusual abilities, then figure out how to use them together. The bartenders have high standards, so impressing them is easier said than done.
At its heart, Ultrapool is a colorful arcade roguelike that feels like a mix between Balatro and Super Auto Pets, with pool mechanics at the center. Pocketing balls earns points, while a higher score brings in more money. That cash can be spent at the bar to buy new balls or upgrade the ones already in the collection. The goal is simple: make it through all 10 rounds. The basic pool gameplay of Ultrapool is easy to understand. Get the balls into the pockets and keep things moving. What makes each run more interesting is discovering what the different balls can actually do.
Once those abilities start clicking, there are plenty of ways to come up with smarter shots and squeeze even more points out of the table. A ghost ball can return after disappearing at Ultrapool. A chicken ball can lay round eggs. A bomb might blow up after taking too many hits. There can even be an Earth on the table. Pretty much anything goes, provided it is round and rolls properly. Cubes are apparently where the line gets drawn.
Features of Ultrapool:
- Once the mechanics start to feel familiar, the cocktail bar adds another layer. The bartender can combine any two balls and create something new. Some combinations seem powerful enough to completely change the game, and finding those pairings can make a run especially satisfying. Getting through an entire all-nighter, though, still takes some work.

There are also plenty of unusual interactions and positioning tricks to experiment with, which keeps each run from feeling exactly the same.
- It scratches that roguelike decision-making itch without simply copying the usual formula. The pool setting gives the familiar ideas a fresh feel, while the strange ball designs add plenty of personality. There is enough variety to encourage repeat runs, whether the goal is a relaxed arcade game, something new to experiment with, or a more thoughtful puzzle-like challenge.
