Journey through the land and collect materials while unlocking new biomes. Build workstations, construct machines, and craft components piece by piece to repair the village and revive the land.
Unlock new gear, master powerful skills, and recruit loyal companions to help you along the way. Complete objectives for villagers to uncover the story of the village. It’s an incremental game with some idle elements. There is a lot of clicking and holding at first, but this improves through automation as progress is made. The story is stronger than is typical for the genre, with characters that each have distinct personalities and specialties. One potential drawback is that nothing in the game is particularly difficult. Progress revolves around steadily working toward goals for the village, with patience required for things like waiting on gem drops.
The game can feel a bit empty after a certain point, and the world design is somewhat unusual. With only one house and around nine villagers, the settlement lacks the sense of being a real community. Even for a small game, more houses to build or repair, along with features like market stalls, would have made the village feel more complete. Instead, many of the construction requests seem oddly prioritized.
Building a computer while several villagers appear to have no homes feels out of place, and explanations such as everyone living at the inn don’t do much to resolve the inconsistency. Cooking is introduced far too late, making the mechanic feel largely unnecessary by the time it becomes available. The crop scythes also have a frustratingly short range. After roughly eight hours, completing the game can begin to feel more like an obligation than an enjoyable experience, which is a concern for maintaining long-term player engagement.
