LIMP MODE combines realistic driving physics, hands-on car repairs, detailed tuning, and survival gameplay in a world.

Your car is barely holding together, the highway stretches for miles, and every warning light could mean trouble. Explore a world where keeping your vehicle running matters more than reaching the finish line. Prefer drifting? Jump into multiplayer servers with up to 20 players and put your builds to the test.

Created by a real mechanic, LIMP MODE brings a different kind of challenge to the road. Fuel runs low, components wear out, engines overheat, and breakdowns never come at a convenient time. An OBD diagnostic scanner helps identify faults, clear error codes, and disable certain systems when extra power is worth the risk.
A Broken Car, a Dangerous Highway, and Eight Towns
The world of LIMP MODE revolves around the road and the vehicles needed to survive it. Zombies wander near abandoned cars and appear in the distance, but the real challenge is making every kilometer count. Fuel acts as a timer for each run, while stops for spare parts, supplies, and loot can cost valuable time and resources.
Not every part of the highway is overrun by the dead. Eight towns offer places to explore, earn a little money, and take a break from the constant pressure of survival. NEW CREEPS is home to quarter-mile races and a dyno, while LOST WAGES offers roulette and slot machines.
The journey starts quietly, with shops, casinos, and other activities waiting farther down the road. Keep moving, explore what lies ahead, and make sure the car can handle the trip.
A 1,000-Kilometer Mission
The goal is personal: a grandfather is stranded 1,000 kilometers away and needs a replacement engine to make it home. Getting there means preparing for a long trip, managing the car’s condition, and finding a suitable V8 somewhere along the way. There is no easy shortcut. The vehicle needs to survive the journey, and every decision affects the chances of reaching the destination.
Realistic Driving, Deep Tuning, and Multiplayer Drifting
LIMP MODE puts driving at the center of the experience. Tire grip depends on slip, weight shifts affect how the car behaves, and drifting follows physics designed with input from a real-life drifter and former tuning shop operator. This is not an arcade racer built around instant gratification. Cars feel different depending on their setup, and pushing one too hard can have lasting consequences.
For players who prefer sideways action to zombie survival, a separate drift multiplayer mode sits alongside co-op. Join a public session through the server browser or host a private event with up to 20 players. Build custom drift tracks, link up for tandem runs, and share creations with the community.

Features of LIMP MODE:
- The OBD Scanner Is More Than a Tool
- At the heart of the mechanical gameplay is an OBD diagnostic tool designed by a working automotive diagnostics technician. Instead of guessing which component has failed, players can scan the vehicle, read its fault codes, and work out what needs attention.
- Clearing an error can get the car moving again, but it comes with a catch. The fault eventually returns, and each reset shortens the time before the next problem. Disabling systems triggered by faulty components or overheating can unlock extra performance, but removing those safeguards may leave the vehicle vulnerable to even more damage.
- ECU tuning adds another layer of experimentation. Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 3 software upgrades sit alongside Pops’n’Bangs and Launch Control. These features can make a car more exciting to drive, although careless tuning can also speed up its downfall. Every adjustment comes with a trade-off.
