An Incremental Game About Surviving Dev Crunch

Help a demanding dog who has somehow ended up as the Project Manager, and try to get It’s Fine into a stable state before time runs out.

Code, upgrade, sleep, prestige, repeat. Along the way, there are strange mechanics to discover, hidden secrets to uncover, alternate endings to unlock, and plenty of unexpected problems waiting to make the deadline even harder.

Build, Upgrade, and Watch Things Get Weird

Progression here isn’t simply about watching numbers get bigger. New stages introduce different effects, resources, and mechanics, giving each part of It’s Fine its own feel.

The various stations change as progress is made. A botfarm can help the marketing team generate wishlists, while a legendary Voodoo Kraken can be tamed for completely different purposes. Then there’s Peanut, a squirrel capable of producing clean energy. At least, that’s the idea at first. Keep going, and Peanut evolves into something that starts firing lightning around the room.

Things can get pretty chaotic.

Sleep, Prestige, and Keep Pushing Forward

When the workday ends, sleep becomes one of the most valuable resources available to an indie developer: Sleephours.

These can be spent through the Dreamtree to unlock permanent upgrades, new mechanics, and special effects that carry over between runs. Each reset gives the progression system another layer, opening up more ways to improve future attempts.

And if even a full night’s sleep still isn’t enough to get It’s Fine delivered before the deadline, there are still some surprises waiting to be found.

Secrets, Challenges, and Alternate Endings

There’s more to uncover than simply reaching a stable build.

Challenges can trigger unusual effects, including ways to literally set the room on fire. Hidden secrets reward players willing to poke around and look beyond the obvious path, while alternate endings add extra outcomes to discover.

For It’s Fine which is built around a single frantic development crunch, there’s quite a bit packed into those final 24 hours.
