Unravel the strange puzzles hidden in your dreams. This is the third game in the series, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone title for newcomers. After HER TREES : THE PUZZLE HOUSE, it seemed doubtful the developer could come up with 40+ new puzzles without repeating themselves… and yet here we are. HER TREES : PUZZLE DREAM is more than double the puzzle count of the first title and proves otherwise. The concept is still beautifully simple: figure out which letters to click and in what order. The solutions are easy on paper, but spotting them is the real challenge. The whole HER TREES : PUZZLE DREAM took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete.

The hint system is once again step-by-step and flexible, but this time hints are timed, and HER TREES : PUZZLE DREAM tracks how many are used by the end. There are no achievements tied to avoiding hints, so it’s purely a matter of personal pride, though completionists might feel a little judged. The hint recharge behavior can’t be commented on, but the timer alone changes the feel compared to the previous game. On the plus side, the world does a much better job of guiding the player, with interaction markers and lights indicating where puzzles are, so it was never unclear what to do next. The puzzle variety is genuinely impressive.

It’s still very sensory-friendly, though, with calm music, no bright lights, no loud sounds, and no global timer creating pressure. Levels are grouped into areas, so there’s a little more running around if puzzles are skipped and revisited later, but nothing excessive. **Her Trees: Puzzle Dream** is a delightful point-and-click puzzler. It’s a great getaway from “busy” gaming, with the only objective being to follow the cat and solve one conundrum after another. HER TREES : PUZZLE DREAM has no voice-over or text, is presented in black and white, and features a soothing artistic style and soundtrack. The focus is entirely on the puzzles, which all share the same core objective.

However, each puzzle is unique, unfolding naturally as the fairly simple environment is explored. As HER TREES : PUZZLE DREAM progresses, different objects and shapes are introduced that must be combined into a solution. It sounds easy, but the puzzles require creative visualization and pattern recognition. They’re rarely unfair, but they can be surprisingly challenging. If progress comes to a halt, a graduated hint system becomes available over time. Steam achievements are not supported. While some may see that as a drawback, the satisfaction of discovering the solutions and completing the game with minimal reliance on hints is rewarding enough on its own.
