Survive the Endless Wasteland

Keep the convoy moving, clear the tracks with automated drones, and reach the next station before the enemy overwhelms the train.

Each station gives a chance to spend collected coins on new train cars, weapons, drone slots, and useful buffs. The farther the train travels, the tougher the enemies become. The goal is simple: keep moving for as long as possible.

Between stations, the action comes fast. Most trips last around 20–30 seconds, turning every stretch of track into a short burst of frantic combat. The drones handle the shooting automatically while the train’s weapons tear through anything getting in the way.

Build and Upgrade the Train

Every new station opens up more ways to improve the convoy. New cars, weapons, drone types, and upgrades can be mixed together to create different setups.

Train cars can also be rearranged or merged. Combining them makes the cars stronger and unlocks additional module slots, giving more room to customize the train as the run continues.

There is also a permanent upgrade tree between runs. The resources earned during each attempt can be invested there, giving future runs a stronger starting point.

Fast, Satisfying Combat

Endless Rails focuses heavily on bullet-heavy action. Large groups of enemies swarm the train and keep coming, turning each trip between stations into a compact fight for survival.

Reaching Station 20 already counts as a solid run, but there is no final stop waiting there. The railway continues, and the endless format means the only real limit is how long the train can survive before everything falls apart—or Endless Rails crashes.

The short runs also make it easy to jump back in after a failed attempt. There is always another upgrade to try, another train setup to experiment with, and another reason to think, “just one more run.”

Current Features and Room to Grow

At its current stage, Endless Rails still feels somewhat limited in depth. More enemy varieties with unique mechanics would give combat greater variety. Additional ways to deal with enemies, beyond simply moving the train along a single line, could also make each encounter more interesting.

The roguelike upgrade system could use more variety and excitement as well. More meaningful upgrade choices would give runs greater personality and make different builds feel more distinct.

Overall

Endless Rails is a polished survivor-like built around a surprisingly effective train-based twist. The idea of mixing the chaotic action of Brotato with a moving train sounds simple, but it fits together really well in practice.

Things get even more interesting as the run progresses. Carriages can be merged to make the train stronger, while drones and turrets add extra firepower. Elemental upgrades can be stacked to create more powerful combinations, and different train types open up alternative ways to play at Endless Rails.

The result is a system that encourages experimentation rather than sticking to the same setup every run. Different combinations of cars, weapons, upgrades, and train types can lead to noticeably different playstyles.
