With a set of unusual abilities at his disposal, Dylan faces a mysterious cosmic presence capable of altering the very foundations of reality. The situation quickly turns into a fight for more than survival. Humanity is also at risk, and Dylan has to learn how to use his powers before the threats spreading throughout Manhattan become impossible to stop.

This action-adventure RPG continues the story of the multi-award-winning CONTROL. Its world stretches across large sections of a devastated Manhattan at CONTROL Resonant, where the influence of the chaotic Hiss, the invasive Mold, and other paranatural dangers has taken hold.

At the same time, Dylan is searching for his sister, Jesse Faden, the Director of the FBC. Finding her could help explain what is happening and reveal how the dangers that once remained inside the Oldest House have now reached the outside world.

The city offers a collection of strange and unpredictable areas to explore, each shaped by the forces tearing reality apart. Locations can behave in unexpected ways, with distorted gravity changing how spaces are viewed and crossed.

These unusual environments also affect gameplay of CONTROL Resonant. Puzzles can make use of shifting perspectives and altered gravity, while combat situations require new ways of thinking about movement and positioning.

Build Dylan’s Paranatural Abilities

Dylan’s past plays a major role in understanding what is happening around him. His experiences as a test subject provide clues about the FBC, the strange forces it studies, and the dangers now threatening humanity.

His abilities can be developed as the adventure progresses, giving players choices over how Dylan handles the challenges ahead. A deeper progression system allows his powers to adapt as new threats emerge.

A Weapon That Changes With the Battle

The Aberrant offers several ways to attack. Its two-handed hammer can deliver heavy, punishing strikes, while its dual blades allow for faster and more precise attacks. The weapon can shift between forms during combat, letting Dylan adapt as each encounter changes.

Meanwhile, the events surrounding Jesse Faden continue to unfold in CONTROL Resonant. The lockdown at the Oldest House is no longer enough to contain the growing crisis, and the disaster has reached Manhattan’s streets. With the FBC struggling to keep the situation under control, the threat is no longer confined to a single building.

Jesse once entered the Oldest House to face the danger within. Now Dylan must leave it behind and confront what has escaped beyond its walls.
