Fast, Brutal Arena Combat

It’s familiar modes such as Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Conquest.

The gameplay is simple to pick up, but the fights can get seriously tense. Players can move quickly across the maps, rely on accurate aim, and use parries to survive encounters. There is very little unnecessary stuff getting in the way. Respawns are quick, so after getting taken out, it is only a moment before the action starts again.

The old-school visual style also fits Bloodspill really well. The dark, gothic atmosphere gives the maps a distinct retro feel without taking away from the fast combat.

Pick a Mode and Get Moving

Deathmatch

Kill or be killed. The goal is straightforward: reach the required body count before everyone else and take the win.

Capture the Flag

Grab the opposing team’s flag and bring it safely back to your own base. Every successful capture earns points and pushes your team closer to victory.

Conquest

Take control of territory, then defend what has been captured. Holding those areas lets your team build up points and work toward winning the round.

A Small Community With Player-Hosted Servers

All lobbies are hosted by players, which gives the multiplayer experience a nice old-school feel. There is one downside, though: because Bloodspill has a small player base, the number of available servers can change depending on the time of day. Sometimes there may only be one to three servers running.

For anyone who misses classic arena shooters and wants something quick, dark, and brutally simple, Bloodspill is worth checking out.
