A Fresh Start in the USA

This time, the career begins in the USA, with new locations, fresh contracts, updated equipment, and plenty of lawns waiting for attention.

The sequel has been shaped by player feedback as well as lessons learned during development of the first game. The result is a larger take on professional lawn care, complete with licensed machinery from Kubota, SCAG® and STIGA, alongside returning in-house brands Patterson and Knight.

The career system has also received a major redesign. Players can manage their business from a fully explorable 3D headquarters, while improved character customisation adds more options for creating a personal look.

More Than Just Cutting Grass

The USA setting brings 11 different locations to Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, which is more than the original LMS had at launch. Jobs range from residential gardens to commercial and municipal properties, with contracts varying in size and style.

There is also more work to handle beyond mowing. Weed clearance and leaf removal give each job additional tasks, making the routine feel less repetitive. Locations can change between visits too, so returning customers may not always have the exact same garden waiting.

A property could gain a new flower bed between jobs, for example, while another visit might reveal an above-ground pool or a flagpole. The goal is to keep familiar locations feeling different while still giving players a reason to look after their regular customers.

For anyone who spent hundreds of hours with the original game, these changes are designed to keep the mowing routine interesting for much longer. Some players even passed the 1,000-hour mark in the first LMS.

New Tools, Mowers and Leaf Blowers

Leaf blowers finally become part of the main gameplay in LMS2, giving players another way to clear up grass clippings and fallen leaves. Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 has also been rebuilt to handle much larger quantities of foliage, with tens of thousands of leaves able to move around at the same time.

Clearing a garden involves more than simply switching on the blower. Leaves can be pushed onto a tarpaulin, where they collect until it reaches capacity. Once full, the tarp can be picked up and emptied into a debris bag before getting back to work.

Some awkward corners will still need a little extra effort. A rake is also available to pull leaves out of harder-to-reach areas.
