Paris, 1499: A City on the Edge of Ruin

Flames spread across medieval Paris as terrifying creatures emerge from the darkness. With the city under attack, Trevor Belmont, the legendary warrior who defeated Dracula, enters the burning streets alongside his daughter, Rose.

Armed with the iconic Vampire Killer whip, the pair set out to hunt the monsters pouring from a mysterious castle. However, Rose soon finds herself caught in a sinister plot that threatens far more than the city’s survival at Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Her journey becomes a race against time to prevent Paris from falling into complete ruin.

Fast-Paced Combat and Classic Whip Mechanics

The familiar whip-based combat that made Castlevania stand out returns with a fresh twist. Rose can swing through the environment with impressive freedom, moving through stages almost like an aerial performer. The whip isn’t just a weapon, either. Its movement mechanics open up new ways to approach enemies and explore each area.

Combat feels quick and aggressive, rewarding players who learn how to use the whip effectively. With well-timed movements and creative attacks, Rose can close the distance on enemies and strike with the speed and precision of a hunting wolf.

Powerful Bosses and the Arcana System

Rose’s adventure brings her face-to-face with recognizable Castlevania foes, including Death, Medusa, and Carmilla. She’ll also encounter unfamiliar threats, such as Joan of Arc, adding new challenges to the familiar gothic setting.

Defeating these powerful enemies unlocks another layer of combat. Each defeated boss is sealed within a tarot card and transformed into an Arcana. These cards grant access to special abilities, allowing Rose to cast spells and perform unique actions during battle. Collecting them adds more options for dealing with the dangers ahead.

Build a Fighting Style with Weapons and Relics

Rose isn’t limited to a single approach to combat. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse features weapons across seven distinct categories, giving players plenty of ways to experiment with different attack styles. Relics add another layer of customization, providing powerful effects that support both offensive moves and defensive strategies.
