Step into the golden age of the Wild West, where the red-rock canyons of Monument Valley surround a fragile settlement struggling to survive at the edge of civilization ub Western Rye.

The frontier is full of life and danger. Explore a growing town, venture deep into mysterious caves, discover settlements long abandoned, and encounter wildlife across the wilderness. Trade with local NPCs, deal with factions that react to your actions, and shape a story that can take an outlaw from desperate survivor to legendary figure.

But the land itself can be just as dangerous as its inhabitants. Sudden sandstorms can turn the landscape into a blur, while heavy rain can transform the frontier in an instant. This is a world still trying to recover from the mysterious Rye Fever.

🏠 BUILD A HOMESTEAD

Every homestead starts with an empty patch of land and a lot of work at Western Rye.

Build your home piece by piece, from the foundation and walls to the roof and doors. Set up a working farm and grow crops such as corn, wheat, beans, and barley. Dig a water well to keep thirst at bay, then install a Homestead Stove and finally sit down to a proper cooked meal.

The homestead belongs to its owner, so build it, arrange it, and make it feel like home.

⚒️ GATHER, MINE, SMELT, AND CRAFT

Survival depends on making use of what the frontier provides.

Cut down trees for timber, collect useful herbs and cactus, and search underground for raw ore in Western Rye. Turn that ore into valuable ingots at the smelter, then use those materials to create tools, buildings, weapons, and other equipment.

Craft what is needed. Repair what breaks. Improve the gear that keeps you alive.

Out here, every useful item comes from time and effort.

🌾 FARM, FISH, HUNT, COOK, AND LIVE OFF THE LAND

The wilderness remains full of resources, even after the world has been changed by Rye Fever.

Plant seeds in your crop planter and watch each crop progress through four stages before reaching harvest. Raise chickens, cattle, and pigs, or head into the wilderness to hunt bison. Cast a line at the lake and bring home a fresh catch.

Food can be prepared over a campfire or cooked on the Homestead Stove, with meals providing useful benefits for survival. There is something satisfying about sitting down to food that came straight from the land and was grown or gathered along the way.

And when the time comes to raise a glass, brew whiskey and moonshine to keep the frontier spirit alive.
