=== Enjoy the fireworks === Well, your party is not so useless after all… Master Healer Kale with useless party feels like the simulated experience of playing as a Healer in MMORPG’s. The tank’s asleep, the archer re-spec’ed and has no idea how to play, and the mage is an ego-maniac. This only happens to a Healer on a day ending in Master Healer Kale with useless party. Your job is to heal the party, maybe dole out some buffs, and very rarely remove debuffs. It isn’t very complicated, although there are some small strategies to optimize the use of finite resources. The heal-over-time ability is best used on the tank. The insta-cast heal punishes panicked use with its high cost.

The first five zones are simply numbers games, while the second five zones include quirks. Start out slow, take 40% more damage, or lose mana gradually over time. The skill tree is divided into mindless “increase damage by %” parts and more interesting synergy nodes, like a chance on hit to apply a shield to the mage and the tank, with the tank able to boost the effectiveness of those shields. Overall, the gameplay loop of Master Healer Kale with useless party is very satisfying. So much so that it was replayed after realizing only 1 out of 38 achievements had unlocked from a first 100% save file. Probably a bug or oversight with carrying over progress.

That replay also made it clear that the archer character is completely dead weight at Master Healer Kale with useless party. Seriously, they exist only to apply debuffs to the enemy so that the real damage dealer—the mage—can deal slightly more damage. The second playthrough specced exclusively into the mage nodes of the skill tree, beat Master Healer Kale with useless party, and reached Zone 8 of Nightmare Mode before it became necessary to begrudgingly keep the stupid archer alive to apply debuffs. The archer has skill nodes that lean into extra loot rewards from enemies in Master Healer Kale with useless party.
