Assemble a party of four heroes, delve into the dungeon, decide when to fight or run away, and grow stronger to survive the run to the dragon’s lair in this micro dungeon crawler. The game “restarts” after you finish the final boss with you keeping everything, the final boss seems to be the only thing to actually get more difficult after you finish it a couple times the boss has too much defence to do anyhting without grinding and grinding becomes very tedious quickly.

Five bucks gets you a couple of hours of fun exploration and monster crushing. Really bare bones but kept me smiling, and seeing what the next monster would be around the corner was enough of a hook to keep me going. Not a lot of depth here, but there’s joy in the simplicity. Heartwarming to see a jam game go live like this in Dragon Ruins.
