Deus Ex Revision PC Game 2000 review:
This is JC Denton’s diary. Who looks without asking, with that powerful implant. Bratello gave cool glasses to NG (revision). Everything immediately sparkled with new colors.
Deus Ex: Revision is a community-made overhaul of the 2000 classic. It features new environments, new music, and new world-building detail. It also bundles in some of the best modifications that the fanbase has made over the years, including Direct3D 9 rendering, high-resolution textures, high-detail 3D models, and alternative gameplay modes.
It’s a good mod. Removes the need to hassle with a source port and whatnot to get it running on modern systems. Used this for our first full play though and we actually got to the end for once. If you don’t like some of the new changes and such you can always just turn it off. You can also upgrade a pistol to be a pocket sniper which we don’t think was in the OG game so that’s neato. we can’t comment on the updated music though since we had it off during our playthrough.
Pros of Deus Ex Revision:
- Locations throughout the game world have been re-designed with new aesthetic and gameplay detail.
- A new soundtrack has been composed by the symphonic electronica duo EdenShard, based on the original score.
- High-Resolution Textures courtesy of New Vision.
- High Detail 3D models courtesy of Project HDTP.
