Breathedge 2 PC (Early Access)

Survive at the very edge of space. Gather materials, build and improve your equipment, and try to make sense of a galaxy that has completely fallen apart. Can an ordinary Man really save the galaxy with nothing more than an immortal Chicken, some duct tape, and a lot of bad luck?

Breathedge 2 continues directly from Breathedge, but playing the first game is not required. New players and returning veterans can expect roughly the same amount of confusion either way.

The Breathedge Corporation has somehow managed to start a war across the galaxy. It has created a massive army of Coffinbots and launched attacks against the largest human settlements. The Man and his loyal companion, an AI housed inside his spacesuit, accidentally disrupted the Corporation’s plans for a quick conquest. That mistake turned them into the top targets for every hostile Coffinbot around.

Things get even worse after they barely make it through the chaos and suddenly come under fire from their own allies.

So, who attacked who? Who exactly is Babe? Why is there a Chicken involved? Where was the Man supposed to be going in the first place? And, perhaps most importantly, what can possibly be done with all that duct tape?

Finding the answers is part of the adventure.

EXPLORE

Exploration sits at the heart of Breathedge 2. As the story unfolds, you’ll spend time with the Man and his crew, discover what life is like on the far edges of inhabited space, meet unfamiliar faces, and slowly piece together what is really happening as different forces fight for control of the galaxy.

Search through abandoned space stations, destroyed settlements, wrecked ships, and locations that seem like terrible places to set foot. There are plenty of stories left behind by other people, along with strange machines, useful scraps, bizarre gadgets, and completely pointless treasures that are somehow impossible to find anywhere else.

Some discoveries are hilarious. Others are odd, disturbing, or simply hard to explain. A few may even reveal more about the situation and help uncover why the Man has ended up right in the middle of it.

SURVIVE

With enemies closing in from all sides, survival becomes a constant challenge for the heroes of Breathedge 2. Life on the outer reaches of space does not come with convenient shops or banana smoothies. What it does have is an endless supply of wreckage, mountains of duct tape, and the Man’s ability to turn seemingly worthless junk into surprisingly handy equipment.

Find new blueprints and use them to create tools, equipment, and other useful devices. Improve the spacesuit and upgrade existing gear as better options become available. Machines can be repaired or taken apart for parts, resources can be collected, and new routes can be found into areas that initially seem unreachable in Breathedge 2.

The farther the journey goes, the further it moves from anything that could be called safe. While drifting through open space, oxygen and temperature need constant attention, along with plenty of other small problems that can bring the whole adventure to an abrupt end.

And then there are the moments when running is not enough. Sometimes a fight is unavoidable, sometimes getting away is the smarter choice, and sometimes the only option is to push past the remains of astronauts who were not quite as lucky.
