Interactive Cleaning as a Robo-Vacuum! *Vroombi* captures the ennui and loneliness of being a robot vacuum while still giving the main character enough depth to keep players coming back for more.

A single week may not be enough to fully understand what these faithful household servants experience, but by the time the house has been cleaned over those seven days, both empathy and sympathy for them will have developed. Although some may claim that this is a “horror” game, it is more accurate to say that day-to-day existence as a creature permanently bound to service is far more nightmarish than any invention of the human mind. Forget *DOOM*—if the goal is to experience hell, spend some time vacuuming a house without a word of thanks from the people who purchased your mind, body, and spirit.

The cleaning mechanic feels chef’s kiss. 7 Nights with Vroombi is one of the best vacuuming games available. The third-person gameplay is a delight, with the environment designed around it so vision remains limited while still being fairly accessible (for example, there’s still a pocket to peek through when the vacuum is under a couch). It’s hard to find good horror that isn’t first-person, and the third-person perspective is utilized extremely well.

The environmental horror is excellent, especially through the use of lighting throughout 7 Nights with Vroombi. A really great piece of storytelling! The length of 7 Nights with Vroombi is clearly reflected in the playtime, and there is replay value through multiple endings and collectible marbles. It says right on the tin how long the game is going to be. The full experience lasts around 75 minutes, making it a satisfying length and an easy game to revisit during Halloween.
