Zellige : The Tilemaker of Granada is a meditative and relaxing historical game, set in medieval Al-Andalus, where you play as a skilled tilemaker and design intricate Islamic mosaic patterns to decorate a merchant family’s palace. You will be able to create a various array of mosaics in all styles, following traditional techniques or letting your creativity flow !

Very pleasant game, two hours went by in the blink of an eye! I particularly liked decorating the floor tiles in the garden (very relaxing and felt like a far tinier / cozier Alhambra) Lots of options to dig deeper in the tilemaking arts, but I felt like I only scratched the surface but when I compare my mosaics to those in the tutorials (and to the historical examples offered) there is a lot of room for progression/discovery! I also loved the historical perspective and the accuracy of the color palettes (cohesive, and expanding progressively during the game).

• We really aim to bring you a calm experience, the sort of game you can play to unwind after a long day at work and to get that sense of satisfaction that comes with creating something of your own.
• The palace is a fully explorable 3D environment, which you can walk around and admire in first person. While doing so, you’ll be able to talk to its inhabitants, the Dhahbans.
• They are a wealthy, well-traveled merchant family, and their home is filled with souvenirs and artifacts from across the Islamic world which will help you find inspiration and learn new techniques!
