Survive the Waves

The pressure keeps building, so good teamwork and smart builds matter from the first fight to the last.

A full team can take on the battle together, while players who prefer to play alone can rely on bots. Every run brings another fight to survive as the enemy forces grow harder to handle.

Build Heroes Your Way

Each hero has a clear combat style, but that does not mean being stuck in one role. Talents, Perks, and powerful items give plenty of room to change how a hero works and create builds that can take their playstyle in a completely different direction at Wavecrashers.

The progression has a MOBA-like feel during each battle. Items can be purchased, important attributes can be improved, and new synergies can be built as the fight develops. Builds can also be adjusted along the way to deal with whatever the next wave throws at the team in Wavecrashers.

Progress carries across runs, too. Talents and Perks unlock additional options, letting familiar heroes become more specialized over time.

Tides and Rising Challenges

Once the standard battles are no longer enough, the Tides offer a tougher way to test those builds. Each Tide raises the pressure by changing the rules and adding stronger enemies, shorter preparation periods, tougher bosses, disruptive effects, and other hazards.

Every Tide run also introduces Ordeals. These choices appear during a battle and can change how the rest of the run plays out. Higher Tide levels unlock harsher Ordeals, making each run less predictable and much more demanding.

Beating a Tide unlocks the next one, adding another layer of difficulty to future battles. As the challenges grow, Perks and Talents become increasingly useful for keeping heroes alive and refining their builds.

Team Up and Keep Improving

At its heart, Wavecrashers is a lane-defense game. Enemy hordes arrive in waves and target the core building, while a team of three works together to stop them. Survive all the way to the final wave and the round is won.

Wavecrashers also focuses heavily on replayability. Procedural Tides mean that runs do not simply play out the same way every time, giving each attempt a different set of challenges to deal with.

There is no pay-to-win progression, either. Everything that affects progression is earned through playing Wavecrashers.

Fair play is another part of the design. Wavecrashers’ systems are built with safeguards intended to prevent exploits and cheating, keeping the focus on builds, teamwork, and surviving the next wave.
