Toy Story 3 is an Action, Adventure, and Open World game for PC published by Disney in 2011. It is good to feel the oldies!
Toy Story 3 PC Game 2011 review:
It’s a very good game with a “free world” as far as it goes and a story mode, good customization, and the possibility of repeating missions.
The creators of the beloved “Toy Story” films re-open the toy box and bring movie goers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in “Toy Story 3”. As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of “Toy Story 2” and “Finding Nemo”), “Toy Story 3” is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys. Pixar veteran Darla K. Anderson (“Cars” and “Monsters, Inc.”) produces, while Michael Arndt, Academy Award-winning screenwriter of “Little Miss Sunshine,” brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities. Dive into all new heroic adventures in Story Mode or let your imagination run wild in the exiting new open world of Toy Box Mode! Come and play to infinity…and beyond!
Pros of Toy Story 3:
- Certain objectives require the use of a special power-up that must first be unlocked in a certain level by retrieving one of Mr. Potato Head’s missing body parts.
- Power-ups include a barrier that protects Buzz from damage, rocket boots that launch him at high speeds, a disk launcher that homes in on enemies, a grappling hook for climbing up high ledges, and hover boots for floating up to high places.
- While only one Pizza Planet token is needed to clear a level, some levels require a certain number of tokens to unlock. With the exception of the Nintendo 64 version, progressing through each level unlocks FMV clips of scenes taken from the film.
- The Nintendo 64 version instead features screenshots from the film accompanied by text, shown in between levels, due to storage limitations of the Nintendo 64 cartridge.
