Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia PC Game 2023 review:
Experience the enchanting realm of Gensokyo through the eyes of an outsider in this classic Touhou dungeon role-playing game!
(Build 17093248 Update added)
Sumireko Usami, far from being an ordinary high-school student, possesses an extraordinary ability to venture into the dreamlike world of Gensokyo. Embark on a captivating journey in Artificial Dream in Arcadia, a first-person dungeon crawler where you assume the role of Sumireko. Your task is to navigate intricate labyrinths and recruit a formidable party of renowned Touhou characters to engage in strategic turn-based battles.
Traverse the vast expanse of Gensokyo and its surroundings as you unravel a seemingly too-convenient incident that has befallen Sumireko. As the sole possessor of a smartphone capable of controlling the proliferation of clones known as Sleepers, she must confront this infestation head-on. These Sleepers, resembling various beloved Touhou characters, roam the lands, and it is through Sumireko’s unique smartphone application that they can be captured by besting them in intense Danmaku battles.
Victory grants you the opportunity to either enlist Sleepers into your party, bolstering your ranks, or convert them into invaluable items. Furthermore, by merging multiple Sleepers, you can create entirely new entities. However, incorporating Sleepers into your party comes at the cost of increased battery usage. Should your phone’s battery deplete, your access to Sleepers and the Map will be lost, necessitating careful preparation for your adventures in Gensokyo.
