Have you ever been in a serious car accident with victims and falling into a coma? If not, then this is your chance to feel how a person comes out of a coma.
You do not know who you are, what you did yesterday and whether this world is real at all, everything around is gray and gloomy, as if dead. But you hear a voice that guides you, and you begin to collect particles of your mind that begin to show the events of the past.
Of course, atmospheric and a little gloomy due to the unknown, as well as a very entertaining game, which is definitely worth a walk, especially for those who like such walkers.
Pros of The Shattering:
- Concussion is a simulator for walking from the indie studio Super Sexy Software, telling the life story of the writer John, who had an accident and now fills up the gaps in his memory with the active participation of a psychiatrist, trying to remember the name of a certain life partner, which meant a lot to him . To do this, he will have to remember and relive in his head literally his whole life.
- Although there are dialogs in the game (although rather monologues are the main character like a fish), the main form of narration in the game is nevertheless a visual narrative, very vivid and expressive, but we will talk about it a little later.
- The plot in the game as a whole is realistic and rather sad, but firstly, the final plot twist is not so impressive as to put a worthy end to all previous events, and secondly, the story is not at all decorated with gaps and confusing moments in the narrative that could blamed on the “trouble with the head” of the protagonist and forgive if they did not make the game a little less exciting.
