The Cleaner PC Game 2022 review:
You’re looking for a little game (so to speak) that will blow a fuse and hurt your ass so many times that you’ll almost make you regret your stay at the Guest House.
The Cleaner is a hardcore die ‘n’ retry inspired by John Wick, Hotline Miami, and SuperHot. You control a highly-trained ” cleaner ” with a unique power. No cliché storyline, no cutscenes, start the game and play.
gameplay-wise it’s a fun game with a lot of fun combat and controls. Slowing down time and shooting enemies is so satisfying in this game. And it has a John Woo vibe with its setting and atmosphere. However, the game is increasing with every room you need to master its mechanics and take your time to take out every enemy in the room. And we despise the platforming in this game, especially on the second level where the fail box for falling is so high that you’ll keep dying over and over on those sections.
And we do hope that this game does add some checkpoint system or stats to show how much ammo and bullet time you have as it would make gunning down enemies a bit more accessible instead of guessing before every room opting to switch weapons every 5 seconds. But once you can master its flaws then it becomes a fun game to play that we found addictive.
Pros of The Cleaner:
- Die, and don’t be afraid to die.
- The Cleaner will put you through a challenge.
- One bullet is enough to kill you, so use your power of slowing downtime to kill your enemies.
- Reloading? Never heard of it, you rather just borrow your victim’s weapons.
