This is a third-person, exploratory action-adventure set in an apocalyptic world where most of the civilization is submerged in the ocean.
Is this game a masterpiece? How much beauty can you endure? This game is simply gorgeous, at least for an indie production. The first Submerged game was already beautiful, but Hidden Depths looks even better. In the game, you play sister and brother trying to save a dying world, covered by a Black Plant. Ugly black tentacles coming from the sea cover most things on land. Didn’t I play something similar recently in Glow: Song of the Evergreen? Anyway, that’s where the similarities between those two games already end. So what is Hidden Depth? It is an action-adventure (but many games can be called that), I would compare Hidden Depths to a Ubisoft-formula game… without the fights. So, it is like Assassin’s Creed, but with only the collectibles remaining. The whole map is full of things to explore, things to find and collect, buildings to climb and puzzles to solve.
