Nightdive Studios has brought Star Wars™: Dark Forces Remaster to life, completely enhancing the game using their exclusive KEX engine. The original Star Wars: Dark Forces, released in 1995, set a new standard for first-person shooter (FPS) games. It provided players with extensive freedom of movement and interaction, a wide range of items and power-ups, and captivating environments. In this first Star Wars FPS video game, players assume the role of Kyle Katarn, a former member of the Galactic Empire who has become a hired mercenary.
Katarn joins the Rebel Alliance’s covert operations division, assigned to infiltrate the Galactic Empire. During his mission, he uncovers the top-secret Dark Trooper Project, a development that could significantly strengthen the Empire’s control over the galaxy. Unless Katarn and the Rebel Alliance intervene, the Empire’s plans will prevail, introducing a formidable array of Imperial battle droids and stormtroopers equipped with power-armored suits.
