Shapik The Moon Quest PC Game 2020 review:
A puzzle game at which puzzles are lightweight, not annoying and do not interfere with the passage, which is excellent and allows you to go on and on with normal speed.
we would also like to note the musical accompaniment and sound design in general – it is very cool. HIGHLY. At the moment when you get into the forest, we almost broke the screenshot button, because it is SO GOOD combined in terms of visual and audio, that just the jaw falls off. we have not seen such soulful and beautiful quests for a long time.
But Shapik, like any other game, has a number of minutes. In places, even very unpleasant … The beginning of the game looks exactly like the cheap Amanita Design tribute in terms of both visual and audio. You constantly think, “okay, there aren’t enough stars from the sky, but it’s not really bad …”. we think that not everyone will reach the moment when the game flourishes and shows its full potential.
Stupid control system from the games of famous Czechs. It’s generally not fun for us to try to find the hot spots with the cursor, wobbling Shapik along the invisible rails to find these same points that appear when the hero is standing nearby. It was bad at Amanita Design and it is worse here.
Pros of Shapik The Moon Quest:
- Everything is just SUPER sincerely cute charming exciting. Four years of development were clearly not in vain, since Shapik’s lunar adventure turned out to be almost delightful.
- There isn’t something truly original and ingenious, but, in our opinion, this is not a game. This is a simple game about simple, classic themes and you do not need to add philosophical motives, hidden meanings and heavy drama to it.
- Playing Shapika is like the first time in childhood to watch the Country of Ferns or Dunno on the Moon.
