Project CARS 2 PC Game 2017 review:
It’s the first driving game were driving the car is easy but gets harder by the right amount as you go faster.
If you’re looking for a content-packed, single-player, authentic pretend race car go brr game, this is it. This requires a master’s in voodoo to just set up properly. and a single track will set you back a cool niner in euro. Assetto Corsa is a hot-lapper simulator more than anything else, and its rather attractive cousin, Competizione, needs a NASA supercomputer to hit semi-reasonable frame rates. As the sun sets over the nurturing castle to the roar of v8s, headlights come on car-by-car, exhausts pop and flash, and the turbos continue to whine into the night, the mundane covid-mad world around you disappears. it’s just you and your Ferrari. now eyes wide for that gap and go for it.
Some sim racing titles are actually harder than driving a real car on track because they spend a huge amount of time on a realistic tire and physics model, without considering that the player doesn’t have any of the sensations that they would have in a real car. Too much realism without the visual cues and physical feedback a driver gets from the steering wheel (and seat of their pants) isn’t fun. This game is fun. It is not an arcade or made, it’s a simulator with the right amount of realism in the right places.
