A stylish hack and slash game about an immigrant who takes drugs for her job. Play as Anna, finding a job and moving to a new country. Explore her new life, struggles, loneliness, relationships, language barrier. TL;DR: beautifully executed story (both witty and creepy), engaging action gameplay.

I’ve been following Kayabros for a while, so this was a first day buy for me, even though I wasn’t sure if I’d like it as much as their previous pc game (Soul Searching). After playing a nice chunk of the game, I can say I’m pleasantly suprised, this is another solid entry to their catalogue. I was expecting a depressing story from start to end, but to my suprise, the delivery of story is not heavy-handed at all, witty writing makes you laugh at unexpected times and there are weird twists to it at every corner that keeps you tense and invested. Also game is really polished, sounds and music are top notch, and it’s much more entertaining than how trailers make it seem (at least to me)

Without much spoilers, the basic premise is: You’re an immigrant, hired to kill monsters. Your work uniform is your power gloves and you’re popping some kind of a pill to enhance your inner beast. Sometimes you work solo, sometimes with your colleagues, who sometimes forgot you’re there and start to chat in their own language between themselves and now you’re getting a bit paranoid. It’s these kind of moments that makes the game shine.
