After over a decade of disappearance, Patrick’s sister unexpectedly contacts him, revealing her intention to visit. Patrick’s shattered psyche, resulting from the trauma of losing loved ones, has transformed his own apartment into a personal prison. His sister is the sole surviving member of his family, having vanished over ten years ago. Out of the blue, Patrick receives a phone call that appears to be from his sister. She discloses her impending arrival, years after her disappearance. Suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia, the protagonist faces a difficult choice:
remain at home without medication and uncover the dark secret of his neighbor, or procure the medicine and meet his long-lost sister, who has finally shown signs of life after a decade. Among the numerous delusions plaguing the main character, this theory appears to hold the most credibility. Is Patrick’s haunting neighbor concealing a sinister secret? Who is she truly, and why does she persistently occupy his thoughts?
