Great plot twists and is also full of humor. Literally, break the 4th wall, hack your computer and on top of that, you learn to use javascript.

Outcore completely encapsulates the feeling of the internet. It’s GlitchCore, it’s Y2KCore, it’s MSPaintCore and just a general internet culture-influenced game! The game hits its aesthetics just right and is a feast for the eyes.
Lumi is a wonderful loveable MC, the story had us from the get-go, hook, line and sinker! Helping Lumi recover her memories unlocks a whole new world for the player to think about, even after they’ve finished the game. we were left with some unanswered questions and thoughts of how the story continues. we wouldn’t mind revisiting the world of Outcore in the future. One of the funniest and most creative game we’ve ever played, it’s hard to describe it without spoiling some of its surprises but just know that it is a lot more than meets the eye.

The writing is funny and clever and referential to itself (and even to it’s promotional material, which is hilarious as hell!) Another note about the references, Outcore references other games and popular media, BUT where a lot of games do so just for the sake of having said references, Outcore entangles them in the narrative very cleverly and hilariously! There are quite a few jokes that are very local and not everyone will get them, but they do not take away from the game. They’re a fun addition, an icky for the Israelis that play.
