“To disappear without a trace… was it hope for us, or simply despair?”

A Forgotten Theater and a Story Waiting to Be Told

Once alive with music and stories, the theater has fallen into an unsettling silence. Its beauty remains, but something feels wrong beneath the surface.

With no memories of their own, Aleph and Liora take on the roles of Director and Actress, preparing to put on a new production. As they explore this strange setting, they begin to uncover clues hidden among its quiet halls and mysterious stages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between warmth and unease, giving the story a melancholic feel without losing its sense of wonder.

Every discovery brings them closer to the truth, but what awaits them when the final curtain falls remains uncertain.

Restore the Stage Through Music, Action, and Exploration

Music plays a hands-on role in Nientum – Op.Zero, rather than simply serving as background decoration. Scattered throughout the levels are gems containing fragments of broken notes. Aleph can tune these fragments, restore their sounds, and use their power to activate stage mechanisms.

This mechanic ties the gameplay of Nientum – Op.ZERO together as platforming challenges, puzzles, and action sequences unfold naturally around the theater’s musical elements. Solving these challenges gradually brings color and energy back to a world that has grown still and lifeless.

The performances offer another highlight. Stories such as The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, and The Legend of King Arthur return in musical form, with familiar plots reimagined and occasionally twisted into something unexpected.

Choices That Change the Story’s Ending

Beneath the theatrical setting lies a personal story shaped by lost memories, haunting dreams, hope, and despair. As Aleph and Liora continue their journey, pieces of their past gradually come to light.

The decisions made along the way influence how the narrative develops and ultimately determine which ending awaits them. Different choices can lead to dramatically different outcomes, changing the characters’ futures and giving their journey a more personal edge.

There is more to discover than the mystery of the theater itself. Each act brings new encounters, difficult farewells, and revelations that reshape the meaning of the story. Following Aleph and Liora to the final scene means deciding which path their fate will take.

Music, Voice Acting, and Extra Modes

Nientum – Op.ZERO’s soundscape adds plenty of character to its unusual setting. Music from artists including Kagetora., Halv, and seatrus gives each performance its own atmosphere, helping the theater feel both enchanting and unsettling.
