ProPLAY® brings real NBA footage directly into NBA 2K27 through realistic gameplay animations. The result is a more natural feel when moving, shooting, and attacking defenders. Work on your handles with sharp crossovers, make the most of improved shooting mechanics, and give defenders another problem to deal with every time you hit the floor.
MyTEAM
MyTEAM makes it easy to collect NBA and WNBA stars and create the lineup you want. Build up your collection, experiment with different combinations, and put your squad through its paces. There are plenty of options for both solo players and those who prefer multiplayer games, so the mode has something to offer whether you want to compete alone or against other players.
Play Now, MyNBA, and The W can all be played offline. Every other mode and feature needs an internet connection in NBA 2K27. Some features may also require an online account, and availability can vary depending on the user and the time.
For returning players, NBA 2K27 does not completely reinvent the series, but the overall package feels more polished this year. There is a noticeable sense that extra attention went into improving the experience rather than simply changing a few things and calling it a new release.
Features of NBA 2K27:
- New players should have plenty to enjoy as well. Creating a character, jumping into online games, and checking out the offline modes gives a good mix of ways to play. For anyone who enjoys sports games, NBA 2K27 is worth considering alongside Madden 27.
- The difference is not massive compared with previous 2K releases, but the improvements are easier to notice this time around. After playing older versions on PlayStation and Xbox, the yearly changes can sometimes feel like the usual 2K routine. This version, though, has a similar vibe to Madden 27: it is still familiar, but the extra polish makes it feel like more work went into the final product.
- Playing NBA 2K27 on PC also makes a difference. The graphical options and extra settings give the game a cleaner presentation, especially on stronger hardware. That may be part of why the improvements stand out more.
- With sports games getting access to better data, player statistics, scans, motion capture, and AI, the genre seems to be heading in an interesting direction. Simulation-focused games in particular have a lot of room to improve as developers get more technology to work with. NBA 2K27 feels like another step in that direction without completely changing what players already know and enjoy about the series.
