My Beautiful Paper Smile PC Game 2021 review:
It’s fun, not particularly scary, but it’s also permeating enough. The style is unique and the operation is very smooth. No bugs were found during the game.
Simply an amazing game, a horror game very different from conventional, and that makes all the difference for the game to stand out. The design and colors used along with the music give an agonizing immersion (as we and everyone who saw it in the live said), you don’t know what to expect and this is one of the positive points of the game.
The game is a fresh face to the horror genre featuring art aspects like Little Nightmares and Playdeads Inside. This game brings a lot to the table in terms of its story and art style as well as the way it delivers its horror. For example, instead of using cheap jump scares, it builds up the anticipation and pays off – instead of getting an object to fall and frighten you it uses creepy sound design and something to run at you! This game surprised us a lot since it had us jumping off our seats a couple of times throughout our 4-hour experience.
Pros of My Beautiful Paper Smile:
- Very cool flat, black and white styling.
- High-quality horror.
- There is interest in exploring locations.
- For some reason, this game reminded us of the mystery and style of the game “periscope”, which was not the game it seemed at first glance
