Another excellent platformer from Inti Creates. I’m especially a fan of how Burst killing enemies can actually have additional effects, like cancelling whatever on-death attacks enemies have, or increasing the special gauge of certain characters faster than regular kills. Makes for an interesting risk-reward scenario, and although many people may point to it as just another “score chasing gimmick”, when it comes to these smaller games, score chasing and becoming a better player, getting all S ranks, etc… That’s the most satisfying part. Definitely gonna do a few playthroughs of this one.
Pros of MIGHTY GUNVOLT BURST:
- Though the style will take you back to gaming in the 90s, new systems will keep the action fresh. Aim for a “Burst Combo” by taking out enemies at close range.
- Choose a character with unique abilities and tune their attacks, defense and movement options just how you like it with the game’s deep customization system.
- Mighty Gunvolt Burst has the responsiveness and challenging gameplay of retro hits but with plenty of modern features you’ve come to expect.
- Play as “Beck,” “Gunvolt,” or “Ekoro,” and experience their new stories in this unique parallel universe.
